Nimits keeps your reminders on your phone. There is no account and no server copy of your schedule, so most of this policy describes what does not happen.
Reminder names, times, categories, sub-tasks and your completion history are written to local storage on this phone and nowhere else. There is no sign-up, no sync, and no copy of your schedule on any server we run.
One thing: diagnostics about the app itself, through Google Firebase. Crash reports carry a stack trace, your device model, your Android version and a random app-instance identifier. Performance monitoring carries startup and screen-rendering timings. A small number of events record that a screen was opened or a setting changed. Your reminders, their times, their history, your categories and anything you type are never part of any of it.
No advertising identifier, no contacts, no address book, no phone number and no email address. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with advertisers. Nimits never asks for location permission and never reads where your phone is. The diagnostics above do travel over the internet, and Google works out an approximate region from the masked network address they arrive from — the same coarse signal any web request carries. It is not tied to a name or an account, and the app itself never sees it.
Reminder titles, notes, times and the whole history behind them stay on the device. Whatever you choose to put in a reminder is yours alone: it is never used for advertising, never sold, and never included in a crash report or an analytics event.
Only for the diagnostics above. No reminder ever waits on a network: every alarm is handed to the operating system the moment you save it, so Nimits rings in aeroplane mode, with no signal, and with the phone offline for a week.
If Android system backup is switched on, Android may include the app database in your device backup. That copy is held by Google under your own account, not by us. Files you export yourself are yours to keep or delete.
Uninstall the app. Everything Nimits stores — your reminders, times, categories, sub-tasks and your full history — lives on this phone and is removed with it. There is no account and no copy of your schedule on any server we run, so nothing survives the uninstall for you to ask us to delete. If you switched Android system backup on, the copy Android keeps sits in your own Google account and is removed from there, not here. The diagnostics described above carry no name and no account, so there is no profile of you to erase; to have a specific crash report deleted, write to the address below.
Nimits is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly hold their data. A parent scheduling a child’s routine is using their own phone and their own copy of the app.
