Nimits is a persistent reminder and alarm app for Android. When something is due it takes over the whole screen — and comes back every five minutes until you complete it or skip it.
Nimits is finished and in testing on Android. There is no store listing yet — check back, or email jisquareapps@gmail.com and we will tell you the day it lands.

Full screen, every five minutes, until you answer.

What is done, what is next, and seven days of history.

Grouped and filed, with sub-tasks kept together.

Pick how hard it insists. The time is set with steppers.

On-time rate, average delay, rings per time.

Re-ring interval, snooze cap, sound and vibration.
A notification is easy to swipe away half-asleep. Nimits takes the whole screen and comes back every five minutes until you complete it, skip it, or run out of snoozes.
Persistent rings every five minutes. Once posts a single notification. Gentle nudges twice, then marks itself missed. Each has its own sound, so the one you cannot miss never sounds like the one you can.
Skip sits right next to Complete, and a skipped item is left out of your figures rather than counted against you. A tracker you have to lie to is not worth reading.
A limited number of snoozes, and the screen tells you which one you are on. An uncapped snooze button is just a slower dismiss.
Daily, weekdays, weekly, or the exact days you pick — and one task can hold several steps that ring in turn, like a washing load or an evening routine.
No sign-up, nothing leaves your phone, and every alarm is scheduled by Android itself. It rings in aeroplane mode.
Appointments · Bills · Chores · Exercise · Hydration · Kids · Medication · Pets · Work — or write your own. A label is filing only: it never changes how a reminder rings.
Yes. No paid tier, no subscription, no advertising, nothing to buy inside it.
No. There is no account, nothing about your reminders leaves the phone, and Android schedules the alarms — so it rings with no signal at all.
A Persistent one takes the screen again every five minutes until you answer or run out of snoozes, then records a miss. Gentle nudges twice. Once posts one notification and stops.
If you set it for then, yes — nothing is ever held back to a more convenient hour. Set that one reminder to Gentle if you want it quieter.
Usually the phone stopped it: a battery manager, or a permission that was never granted. Nimits checks its own permissions and says so on the home screen, with a link to the setting that fixes it.
Android 8.0 and newer.
Nimits reminds you of a schedule you entered yourself. It does not check what you entered, cannot know whether you did the thing, and gives no professional advice of any kind.
