Delete your Nimits data

Nimits: Reminder & Alarm · published by JiSquare Apps

Everything Nimits: Reminder & Alarm stores about your reminders lives on your phone. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it immediately, and no request to us is needed. The one exception is anonymous diagnostics, covered below.

How to delete your data

  1. Delete your reminders and history - immediately, by yourself.
Press and hold the Nimits icon on your home screen or app drawer and choose Uninstall, or open Settings › Apps › Nimits › Uninstall. Every reminder, time, category, sub-task and your full history is stored only on that phone and is erased with the app. There is no account, so no copy remains on any server of ours afterwards.
  2. Or keep the app and clear its contents.
If you would rather not uninstall, open Settings › Apps › Nimits › Storage and tap Clear storage. This empties the database and returns Nimits to a first-run state. It cannot be undone.
  3. Remove any Android backup copy.
If you switched on Android system backup, a copy may sit in your own Google account, not ours. Remove it at drive.google.com › Storage › Backups, or turn backup off under Settings › Google › Backup.
  4. Ask us to erase your diagnostics.
Diagnostics carry no name, no email and no account, so there is no profile of you for us to look up - but given your device model and the approximate date, we can find and delete the matching crash reports. Email jisquareapps@gmail.com with the subject Delete my Nimits diagnostics. We reply within 30 days.

What is deleted and what is kept

Performance traces (Firebase Performance Monitoring)Kept, then expiresAnonymous startup and screen timings. Deleted automatically after 90 days.
Anonymous usage events (Google Analytics for Firebase)Kept, then expiresWhich screens were opened and which actions were taken, recorded as counts and fixed labels. Never the name, time or content of a reminder. Deleted automatically after 2 months.
Name, email address, phone number, accountNever collectedNimits has no account and no sign-in, so none of this is ever created.
Advertising IDNever collectedThe advertising ID permission is explicitly removed from the app at build time.
Approximate region (from network address)Kept, then expiresNimits never asks for location permission and never reads your phone location. Diagnostics reach Google over the internet, and a coarse region is derived from the masked network address they arrive from. Not tied to a name or an account, and expires with the diagnostics it belongs to.

Stopping diagnostics altogether

Diagnostics are the only thing Nimits sends anywhere. Uninstalling the app stops them permanently - there is nothing left running to report. Either way they never contain anything about your reminders.
